Perry O’Hearn Owner of Philly Phitness
Through Perry’s studies as a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Academy of Personal Training, Functional Movement Screen (FMS) Level 1 and 2 Expert, Movnat Certified Training, a Certified MMA Strength and Conditioning Coach, and is currently studying atThe Feldenkrias Institute he has been able to put together a group of trainers like no where else in Philadelphia.
Philly Phitness was built on a platform of training that combines a balance of strength training, healthy nutritional choices, rehabilitating techniques (yoga, massage therapy, etc), and recreational activities that encourage a healthy lifestyle and positive outlook on life (rock climbing, hiking, triathlons, etc)
Based on the methodology used by Perry, Philly Phitness has been able to reach out and improve the lives of a wide array of clientele:

- Clients suffering from diseases / ailments such as; diabetes I and II, obesity, blindness, claustrophobia, chronic blood clotting, heart attacks, cancer, gout, arthritis, and many more.
- Clients suffering or recovering from injuries such as; broken bones, sprained or pulled muscles, tendonitis, plantar fasciatis, ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repairs, breast augmentations, liposuction, and many more
- Clients preparing for events such as; half or full marathon, half or full ironman, toughmudders, 5k, 10k or 10 mile runs, MMA Fights, College Sport Tryouts / Combines, Cycling Tours, Rock climbing, weddings, vacations, and many more
Perry is currently only taking on clients for his new 100 Day Transformation Program – with the combination of approx. 45 1-1 sessions, unlimited nutritional guidance, daily life coaching, massages and other recovery methods – the goal is not to change just your looks – rather to change your outlook on life.
Patrick Henigan Owner of Recovery Fitness
Patrick Henigan is a Certified Personal Trainer recognized by the American Council on Exercise, nationally accredited soccer coach with a Level 6 diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, and aFunctional Movement Screen Expert (Level 1).
With a wide array of knowledge on movement which includes: yoga, speed, strength, kettlebells, corrective movements, and combat sports Patrick creates unique and challenging programs while putting a premium on posture and proper anatomical function.
Patrick views each of his clients like a puzzle. Each one unique, each needing the correct pieces to be put in place to reach their full potential. He has successfully worked with a wide variety of clients ranging fromhigh school athletes, weight loss, surfers, soccer players, bodybuilders, and elderly clients suffering from neckpain and injuries caused by bad posture. Patrick motivates his clients by introducing a sense of discipline, purpose and self-accountability to their fitness regiments.
Jayel Lewis Owner of JL Fitness
In addition to her B.S. in Health Sciences and Nutrition, she is a certified Personal Trainer and Nutritionist who has trained internationally and worked with the United States Air Force.
Jayel is an educator, a motivator, and loves a good challenge. Fitness isn’t what she does; it’s who she is. The fitness industry is ever changing which helps to keep her on her toes and think outside of the box.
Her main goal is not only for the exterior to change, but to mold a strong mind as well. Her sessions are intense but focus on laying a solid foundation to continue to build upon.
She want others to experience their true potential by helping them lead and enjoy an active and balanced life.
Through her trainings Jayel has been able to help a wide variety of women (currently only trains women) which includes: cancer survivors, fitness competitors, brides-to-be, long distant runners, mothers, and college students.
Holly Waters Owner of Fitness Alive, Best of Philly 2010
Recognized as Best of Philly 2010: Trainer for the Weak-Willed, Holly Waters brings passion and creativity to the fitness world. Her philosophy of having fun can be found in her personal training sessions, group classes, and personal fitness endeavors. The owner of Fitness Alive is proud to be a coach by land and sea for the love of fitness. She finds joy in every aspect of fitness and thrives on mixing up the monotony of exercise routines. Holly works closely with each client to identify personal preferences in the gym to develop a unique training experience.
Holly is extremely involved with the community and hopes to reach out, motivate and inspire the people of Philadelphia to take on their personal goals. She dedicates herself to being aware of the newest techniques and trends in her industry in order to continually create dynamic, explosive, and challenging workouts.
From teaching infants to swim, preparing clients for their first marathon, perfecting olympic lifting techniques, to helping clients find relief from constant injuries by reestablishing proper movement patterns and creating muscular balance, Holly is prepared to help anyone achieve their goals.
Beth Curran Owner, BC Fitness
Beth is a certified Personal Trainer, bringing forth a B.S. in Exercise Science and eight years of experience. She also holds a Masters degree, is a licensed clinical psychotherapist with a specialization in human motivation, nutrition, body image issues, and eating disorders, a certified Health Counselor through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, a Holistic lifestyle coach, and holds certifications in pregnant, post-natal, and postural training. Additionally, she has extensive experience working in a physical therapy clinic, and possesses the skills and education to help clients and performance athletes rehabilitate injuries and prevent further injury through proper program design.
Through the combination of her experience as a life-long athlete and her education she has learned the importance of finding balance in the combination of intense, effective, and fun workouts. She strives on creating individualized programs for the needs and wants of each person. She feels strongly in the connection and personal relationship she builds with each client, and attributes levels of trust and respect to coincide with reaching goals.
Beth’s clients range anywhere from 14 to 85 years old – both male and female – and includes individuals from varied levels. Whether your goals include weight loss, adding more muscle mass, training for a specific life or sporting event, Olympic lifting, rehabilitation, or general fitness, you’ll find that Beth puts detailed and specific effort into each of your training sessions.
Gwinyai “Gwi” Murahwa Co-Owner of iTrain Studio
Gwi is from Harare, Zimbabwe. He is a certified personal trainer through NASM. Gwi not onlyplayed collegiate sports at Jacksonville State University where he began to learn his own potential but he also is co-owner of a personal training studio in Lancaster, PA. He focuses on incorporating flexibility, cardio, core, balance, power and strength into all of his sessions. This allows him to maximize results without losing performance and preventing injury. Gwi is an excellent golfer and knows the importance of staying healthy and flexible while working on strength. But do not think it stops there! He also has experience in Muay Thai and Boxing and is not afraid to put some gloves on you and let you take a couple swings at him – so far only one client has hit him!
